This list represents the total number of mammal species recorded within the boundaries of Linthorpe Cemetery and its Nature Reserve.
So far only one meaningful mammal trapping exercise has been carried out, due to lack of volunteers and experience of the group members. This one trapping exercise was done over a period of two nights and mornings some years ago (2004).
We now have a good supply of traps and mean to do a serious trapping event during the next year.
The group records go back to 1975 when individual members kept their own records, this has proven to be very valuable in studying changes of species and the effects that certain gardening techniques have on populations of certain species.
We need more input from the local people who have regular contact with the area so if you have any sightings of interest please let us have them and we can improve our knowledge of the area.
